North East Water - Solar Shade

North East Water engaged QA Electrical for the design and construction of a new solar shade car park for their premises, also incorporating an out-of-hours security lighting solution as part of the project.

The Challenge

The project highlights our expertise in designing building formats that utilise renewable technologies as part of the building structure. Designs like this are beneficial for our client, their staff and the environment through carbon offset and the creation of better spaces. Integration of the new structure into the site’s existing solar system was a key consideration in the design phase of the project. Achieving this demonstrates our flexibility.

The QA Electrical Solution

We worked in conjunction with a local engineering company to create a solution within the existing car park area. Our solar car park solution, protecting staff and vehicles from seasonal weather conditions, with lighting incorporated for night operations. The solar shade canopy providing their commercial buildings energy use offset by the system.

Our team worked within the desired budget to deliver an outstanding product that reflects our strength and ability from the design phase through to delivery and handover.

Our Results

North East Water, located in North East Victoria, required the design and installation of a shade structure within their existing car park area. The shade had to capture solar energy while providing security lighting for their 24/7 operations.
